Bucks County
Covering an area of 622 square miles just north of Philadelphia along the banks of the Delaware River, Bucks County, with a population of 646,538, is the fourth-most populous county in Pennsylvania.
Founded in November 1682, Bucks County is one of the three original counties created by William Penn. Named after Buckinghamshire in England, it played a significant role in American history, including George Washington’s crossing of the Delaware River during the American Revolutionary War.
