The restaurant and sports bar offers a delicious mezze plate that’s the perfect savory treat for game day. 

“You want to watch the game, drink some beers and you want to be with everybody else,” said Brad Daniels, Gloria’s owner and chef. “If there’s any way you can get ahead and do something that’s really simple and a crowd-pleaser, but still beautiful and elegant at the same time, that’s the goal.” 

The mezze dish features a tasty, green fava bean hummus alongside a variety of dippers. 

Chef Daniels has always had a deep appreciation for Italian cuisine, which has become a staple of his career. He also owns Tresini, a rustic Italian restaurant in Ambler.  

For those looking to try their hand at making their own fava bean hummus, the process is quick and easy.  

“Get a bunch of vegetables that are brightly colored and super fresh and just build a wreath around the hummus,” he said. “Then you up the game and you add a little bit of your Italian and antipasto favorites to it.”
