Bucks County Public High Schools Go to the Head of the Class in Top 50 Pennsylvania Ranking

Central Bucks High School - East was among one of Pennsylvania's best schools for 2022.

Five Bucks County public high schools are among the top 50 in Pennsylvania for 2023, according to a new ranking recently released by Niche.

To determine the ranking for its 2023 Best Public High Schools in Pennsylvania list, Niche used a rigorous analysis of key statistics using:

  • Data provided by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Millions of reviews written by students and parents
  • SAT and ACT scores
  • College readiness
  • Graduation scores
  • Teacher quality
  • High-school ratings

Schools were then graded using eight categories, with academics weighted highest.

All schools that made the top 50 list received an A+ or an A grade for their overall score.

The placements for Bucks County public high schools were:

  • No. 12: Central Bucks High School – East, Doylestown
  • No. 17: Central Bucks High School – West, Doylestown
  • No. 22: Central Bucks High School – South, Warrington
  • No. 36: Council Rock High School – North, Newtown
  • No. 38: New Hope-Solebury High School, New Hope
