Several Bucks County municipalities have climbed the top 50 list in a regional income analysis, with some towns now staking a claim to the “Big Bucks County” label, writes Anthony R. Wood and John Duchneskie for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
New Hope and Solebury, towns linked to reality television personality Yolanda Hadid of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and actor Bradley Cooper, saw significant movement up the chart in the five-year period ending in 2024 compared with the same period that ended in 2014.
In New Hope, inflation-adjusted median annual incomes rose 58 percent to $175,000, while Solebury saw an increase of nearly 30 percent to $196,000. Both gains rank among the highest in the Philadelphia region and place the median well above the national average of $80,000.
When it comes to population gains, Bucks County has seen only modest growth.
“Bucks has been one of the slower-growing counties,” said Greg Diebold, the Delaware Valley planning commission’s senior data analyst.
However, when it comes to median-income growth over the past decade, seven of its municipalities ranked in the top 20, the most of any county.
