To celebrate Star Wars Day on May 4th, New Hope and its businesses are hosting a variety of themed deals, offerings, and celebrations over the weekend beginning on Friday, May 1, writes Jason Sheehan for Philadelphia Magazine.
Around 60 local businesses will be honoring the pun-based commemoration of the classic George Lucas films.
According to the borough’s release about this year’s events, “[v]isitors can move from one storefront to the next, discovering themed cocktails, specialty menus, retail promotions and interactive moments throughout New Hope.”
Head to Reed’s Breakfast Bar to try the “Baby Yoda” vanilla cold brew with matcha whip or Nomad Distilling for their $10 Star Wars–themed cocktail menu. Meanwhile, Human Robot is giving away free Tmavy 13 “Milk Tubes” for anyone who says “Milk the Tubes be with you” upon entry.
Other establishments, like the House of Jerky and God Save the Qweens, have special deals for those who show up in costume.
Sweet Repeat Records will be having a special drawing for a Mandalorian Season 2 soundtrack picture CD, while the Bucks County Playhouse is hosting a Star Wars Quizzo.
The celebrations continue on Sunday, May 3, as a parade of the 501st Legion’s Garrison Carida stormtroopers walks through the borough from 11 AM to 1 PM.
