Bucks County Housing Market Stands Strong Amid Slowing Nationwide Trends

While home prices are cooling across the country and even falling in some regions, the housing market in Bucks County still remains hot, fueled by steady demand and supported by the limited inventory, write Janice Kai Chen and Rachel Lerman for The Washington Post.

The average home value in Doylestown (18901) went up 8.1 percent in 2024, three times the national average.

Nationwide, prices for single-family homes increased by just 2.7 percent over the last year, compared to more than six percent in 2023.

However, Bucks County saw a significantly higher increase in prices over the same period.

The average home value in Doylestown (18901) is now $645,000, an 8.1 percent increase from 2024, which is nearly three times the national average.

Bristol (19007) is close behind, with an average home value of $320,000, reflecting an 8.0 percent year-over-year increase.

Quakertown (18951) also more than doubled the national average, reaching $398,000, a 6.3 percent increase compared to the previous year.

Meanwhile, Warminster (18974) saw a 5.5 percent increase, with home values now at $507,000.

New Hope (18938) has the highest average home value at $801,000 but also had one of the lower increases at 4.1 percent.
