The Newtown Theatre recently released its lineup of Christmas concerts for this holiday season, featuring live performances of nostalgic classics and festive modern songs, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.
On Wednesday, Dec. 10, “The Ultimate Christmas Party Concert with the Sassies” will be taking place at 3 PM. Cait Dailey, Kate Nice and Peg Keller will be performing fan-favorite old and new Christmas songs.
“Christmas Unplugged” is happening at 8 PM on Thursday, Dec. 11. A variety of musicians and singers will be performing acoustic versions of holiday classics. The concert will be lit by hundreds of white lanterns.
At 8 PM on Friday, Dec. 12, the “Holiday Dueling Pianos” sing-along concert, featuring local husband and wife, Steve and Jenni Luhmann, will take place.
A tribute to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons is taking place on Dec. 13 at 2 PM. “A Very Valli Holiday” will feature performances by Lights Out, with a blend of Christmas music and Valli’s classics.
The “5th Annual Illuminated Classical Christmas Concert” is happening at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, Dec. 16. The Newtown Chamber Orchestra will be performing, as elegant white lights illuminate the theatre.
Performed by Nova Scotian sisters Cassie and Maggie, “A Celtic Christmas” will be taking place on Dec. 17 at 3 PM.
