Volunteers in Doylestown Deck the Borough for a Season of Holiday Magic

To get ready for the holidays, volunteers decorated Doylestown with lighted wreaths, with more fun, festive events and activities to come.

Over the weekend, volunteers helped Doylestown get festive for the holiday season with lighted wreaths around the borough, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.

“We’re just helping out and showing our pride in the town,” said Renee Guarro of New Britain, who was decorating with her mother.

The festive decor is just the beginning of the Christmas fun coming to Doylestown.

On Nov. 28 from 5 to 8 PM, locals will be able to enjoy the annual tree lighting and Santa Parade.

The tree lighting has been a staple of the borough for over a century.

This year’s 25-foot Nordmann Fir was provided by Bountiful Acres and will be decorated with 150 ornaments and thousands of lights.

The Santa Parade will feature local cheerleaders, bands and Santa Claus himself.

Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations for the New Britain Food Pantry

Transportation to the event will be offered by Doylestown Dart, beginning at 5 PM in the county parking garage.

Small Business Saturday on Nov. 29 will bring special holiday sales throughout the town.

Locals can also keep an eye out for other fun events, like the Ugly Sweater Walk, Santa’s Cottage, Festival of Christmas Music and more.
