Newtown’s On Demand! Programs and Events has been bringing live performances, educational speaker events and more to the Bucks County area and beyond since 2009.
Founded by Natalie Kaye, the company acts as a speakers bureau, talent agency and event planner, booking speakers and performers for a variety of venues.
For over 30 years, Kaye served as an event coordinator for major corporations, including General Electric, Arco, DuPont and Merck, as well as the Bucks County Community College Women’s Center.
When it came time for her to retire at 68 years old, Kaye realized she wasn’t quite ready to settle down.
A lunch with a friend inspired her to utilize the connections she made over the years to give back to her community in a new way.
The program was intended to be a simple hobby, but it wasn’t long before the business began growing into something unexpected and exciting.
Kaye’s passion for music and singing pushed her to seek out more musical performers whom she could represent.
Now, On Demand! has hundreds of clients, puts on more than 1,000 programs a year and represents nearly 100 people.
“The mission of my company is to offer programs that inspire, entertain, enrich, and promote positive change,” said Kaye. “I really want to bring joy to people and I want to promote these amazingly talented performers.”
At On Demand!, there are a variety of speakers available, including historians, reenactors, humanitarians, authors and educators.
Instrumentalists, Broadway performers, operatic vocalists, bands, comedians and musicians from every genre are also available for booking.
Kaye works closely with the companies and venues that book her talent, frequently reaching out and providing updates on new programs.
Bringing On Demand! to life and watching it grow has been a very rewarding experience for Kaye.
She’s had the opportunity to work with the Rostair Foundation in assisting Pickering Manor in Newtown for the last five years.
Her musical talent frequently performs for the Manor’s memory care program, which Kaye finds to be incredibly rewarding.
For Kaye, it’s also heartwarming “seeing the careers flourish of the performers and speakers that I represent, knowing that I’m contributing to their well-being and the fact that they love what they do and they’re able to do it so much more when I can get them bookings to do it.”
On Demand! has two exciting events coming up next month.
On Friday, Dec. 5, those in Newtown can stop by Flourish Cafe to enjoy some holiday music from singer Maggie Griffin-Smith. From 6:30 to 9:30 PM, guests can enjoy Christmas classics like “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Silent Night,” and more. Tickets are $25.
The African American Museum of Bucks County (AAMBC) is hosting a fundraising gala event at Parx Casino in Bensalem on Dec. 11 from 6–9 PM, with music provided by singer Keith Spencer. Tickets can be purchased at the AAMBC’s website.
