To celebrate the holidays, a variety of exciting parades and tree lighting events will be held around Bucks County throughout the next several weeks, writes Danielle Camilli for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Bristol Township Holiday Parade is taking place on Saturday, Nov. 22 at noon, beginning at Brookwood School.
The parade will feature students from Truman High School, Mummers All Stars, Eagles Pep Band, members of the Bristol Township Council, local businesses and organizations, and more, along with Santa himself.
On Nov. 22 from 4 to 7 PM, the Quakertown Christmas tree lighting festival will also be taking place.
Locals can join Mr. and Mrs. Claus for hot chocolate, snacks and more before the Christmas tree lighting at 7 PM. The event, located in the triangle parking lot on Broad Street, will have live performances, vendors and alpacas.
Upper Makefield’s tree lighting and food drive will take place on Nov. 28 at 3 PM at Washington Crossing Historic Park. Santa will be arriving at 3:30 PM and the lighting is planned for 4:30 PM.
Tinicum’s holiday tree lighting is taking place at Ottsville’s Community Park on Dec. 5. Join Santa and his elves from 7 to 9 PM for the first-ever tree lighting in the township.
