Until Dec. 31, the Bucks County Historical Society will be offering holiday tours of Doylestown’s Fonthill Castle that will give visitors an opportunity to explore the beautifully decorated historical landmark, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.
Daily hour-long guided tours are currently available at the castle, showcasing Henry Mercer’s home.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students, $17 for those 65 and older, $10 for ages six to 17, and free for children under five. Museum members can enjoy the tours for free.
Holiday Lights Meander Days will take place Dec. 20, Dec. 21, Dec. 27, and Dec. 28. Each slot lasts 45 minutes, with new walk-throughs starting every 10 minutes.
The Meander Days at Fonthill Castle will also be running Dec. 24 from 10 AM to 1 PM, Dec. 26, Dec. 30, and Dec. 31 from 10 AM to 1 PM.
These festive walk-throughs cost $25 for adults, $10 for children aged six to 17, $5 for children five and under, and $20 for members.
Holiday Evening Tours, beginning at 5 PM, will be taking place Nov. 28, Dec. 4, Dec. 10, Dec. 11, Dec. 17, and Dec. 18.
These guided tours span 45 minutes, offering details on the ceramic tiles with a beautiful festive backdrop. The tours cost $20 for society members, $30 for adults, $10 for children aged six to 17, and $5 for children five and under.
