Fairless Hills Community Raises Over $100K After Fire Claims Resident’s House

Fairless Hills’ Scott Diethorne saw an outpouring of support from the community after a devastating fire destroyed his home over the weekend.

The Fairless Hills community is coming together to support one of their fellow residents and his family, Scott Diethorne, who lost his home and three pets in a house fire over the weekend, reports Greg Payne for FOX 29 Philadelphia.

Diethorne, best known as ‘Santa Scott’ to those in the community, has been bringing joy to residents for years. He frequently dresses up as Santa Claus for the holidays, appearing at local events, children’s centers and the Oxford Valley Mall.

Unfortunately, he “lost everything” in the fire, including his Santa costumes.

Locals have shown their support for Diethorne through a GoFundMe campaign created by his brother, Chris Diethorne. In just two days, the campaign had received over $100K in donations.

“It just fulfills my heart that so many people, you know, see that love and give back freely. You know, there’s some people just driving by to look, and most people want to help,” said Brian Brennan, one of Diethorne’s neighbors.

The goal of the GoFundMe campaign is $130K, and as of Tuesday, they have secured $121,580.
