Peddler’s Village in Lahaska has been recognized as one of the best shopping centers in the country by USA Today, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
Celebrated for its charm, beautiful landscaping, and locally owned shops, the 63-year-old property placed second in a national public vote.
USA Today 10Best and a panel of experts compiled their list of picks for the nation’s top-rated shopping centers. They considered a variety of stores, dining options and entertainment offerings, along with overall guest experience. Readers determined the winners by voting for their favorites.
“The most remarkable shopping centers aren’t just places to buy things; they’re community gathering spots that provide a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for their many visitors,” wrote the publication.
Peddler’s Village is one of the most popular attractions in the Philadelphia area. The village features 65 specialty shops and boutiques, with most owned and operated by local businesses. Some shops have been part of the village for decades, such as the Cookery Ware Shop, which opened in 1969.
The shopping center is home to many restaurants, the Golden Plough Inn, and the Giggleberry Fair indoor family fun center.
