The Peddler’s Village annual Gingerbread Display and Competition continues to delight visitors in Bucks County with amazing – and tasty – entries, reports Howard Monroe for CBS News Philadelphia.

“We are so proud that we can highlight the talent of so many creative people in this region and even beyond,” said Christine Hensel Triantos, Director of Marketing and Communications at Peddler’s Village. “We have entries here from New York, Central Pennsylvania, and other places.”

This year, the organizers received 125 gingerbread creations, which is the largest number so far.

“I can tell you this display has been very well received by us and by the public,” said Hensel Triantos.

The display was originally started in 1984. Every year, the organizers identify categories where people can submit their works. This year has three new categories: Reproduction of a Bucks County Landmark, Holly Jolly, and Lights, Camera, Icing.

The favorites are chosen both by a jury and by visitors. The winners of the People’s Choice Awards will be announced on Dec. 8.

Last year, over 100,000 people visited the display and this year is looking like being even higher.
