This is the fourth reported sighting in the county this year.

Just months after several sightings in Bucks County, another black bear has been seen wandering around the area. Annie McCormick wrote about the sighting for 6abc.

A black bear was seen walking around Perkasie last week. Local residents were able to get pictures of the animal but did their best to stay a safe distance away from it.

Back in June, the Trevose Fire Company reported a black bear being seen in the Feasterville area. Earlier that same month, several residents in and around the area of Upper Makefield Township called in sightings of a young black bear wandering around local suburbs.

Most recently, a third black bear was seen walking through the area of Doylestown.

In response to the various sightings this summer, the Pennsylvania Game Commission has shared a list of facts and information regarding the black bear, which is native to the area. With the exception of mother bears with their cubs nearby, black bears are not known to be aggressive and typically avoid contact with humans.
