Just weeks after one black bear was seen and captured, another has appeared in the area.

Just weeks after a black bear was seen walking through suburban Bucks County, another has been found wandering through local neighborhoods.

The Trevose Fire Company has reported a black bear seen in Feasterville. The initial report came from D.A.’s Auto Body & Repair, located at 200 Elmwood Avenue, who took a picture of the large animal making its way down a local road.

“To everyone in the Feasterville area, please be careful,” the shop said online. “This bear was spotted on Elmwood Ave, Myrtle and Woodbine.”

This comes just weeks after a “very small, very young” black bear was seen in the area of Upper Makefield Township. That bear was seen in various backyards in the area before wildlife officials came and safely took the animal away to be relocated.

“Folks that live in Lower Southampton Township, a bear 🐻 was spotted this morning roaming the area,” the fire company said online. “Please watch your kids and pets! DO NOT APPROACH! Call 9-1-1 with the location!”

With the exception of mother bears with their cubs nearby, black bears are not known to be aggressive and typically avoid contact with humans.
