A school district in Bucks County will be starting the school year with a few changes made to how their schools operate. Staff writers at Fox 29 Philadelphia wrote about the updates.

Centennial School District, headquartered in Warminster, has announced that elementary schools in the district will experience shorter days to make room for an extra period for student support and teacher collaboration.

“Teachers can collaborate within their school and now they can also collaborate and have professional development across our elementary school buildings,” said Superintendent Dana Bedden.

Schools throughout the district will see an increase in security staff and added cameras to ensure further safety measures are in place for all in attendance.

Buses will also see GPS tracking devices added to the vehicles so that parents can see where their children are. Parents in the district can see where the bus is through the use of an app the school district is working with.
