A staff member of a school district in Bucks County is being commended for his work towards students and staff.

Chris Berdnik, the Chief Financial Officer of Pennsbury School District, received the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials’ (PASBO) 2023 Gary Reeser Memorial Award. The award is the highest honor bestowed upon a school business official in the state.

“Mr. Berdnik’s exceptional work as a school business official and engagement with the school district and students make him a well-deserving winner of PASBO’s highest recognition,” said Dr. Tom Smith, Pennsbury’s Superintendent of Schools.

“The Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO) is a statewide association 4,000 members strong. We are devoted to providing members with exceptional professional development, peer-to-peer networking, and showcasing best practices in school business.”

Berdnik also serves as the coach for Pennsbury High School’s award-winning Speech and Debate team.
