The Spartans Wrestling Club in Warminster is celebrating 50 years of serving the community and teaching the sport to young people, writes Dino Ciliberti for Patch.
The Warminster Township Board of Supervisors honored the club last week for its decades of service.
To show their appreciation for the support, the Spartans gifted recognition plaques to Supervisors Chairman Kenneth Hayes and Supervisor Chuck Heybach, who have played key roles in the club’s success.
Since its founding, wrestlers of all skill levels have been invited to join the club’s welcoming and positive environment, dedicated to fostering teamwork, confidence, and discipline.
The club currently serves boys and girls between kindergarten and 8th grade and is actively working to grow participation among girls in the community.
“It has been a privilege to support the Spartans over the years,” said Heybach. “What this club has built — a true community where every child is welcomed and every family feels at home — is something to be celebrated. I’m grateful for the recognition and proud to be a small part of such an extraordinary program.”
The club is run by President Kyle Yeager and Vice President Lia Yeager, with Tatiana Gallelli serving as Treasurer and Trish Cornman acting as Secretary.
