Doylestown Pizzeria Celebrates Five Decades of Successful Business

Nat’s Pizza in Doylestown celebrated 50 years of business on April 2, receiving a proclamation from a town crier and local politicians.

On April 2, Nat’s Pizza in Doylestown celebrated five decades of serving up delicious pies to the community, writes Jeff Werner for Patch

To commemorate the anniversary, a town crier announced the milestone along with well wishes from Doylestown Borough Mayor Noni West, State Rep. Tim Brennan, State Sen. Steve Santarsiero, and Governor Josh Shapiro

The business, now owned by Timothy Wylie, was opened in 1976 by 21-year-old Natale “Nat” Stabile. Wylie was an employee at the time, and he took over ownership of the pizzeria in 2014.

“We are very lucky to serve Doylestown. Doylestown is a very special place, and it always will be. We’re going to be here a long, long time,” Wylie said, having recently signed a 20-year lease with the building’s landlord.

Much of the interior is the same as it was when Nat first opened the establishment 50 years ago, down to the same number of booths.

“Nat would be so proud to see that his place is still here,” said Wylie. “Everything is still the same — recipe-wise. Nothing has changed. We still use the same recipes. Everything is exactly the same. The same product. He may not be with us anymore, but he’s always with us every day.”
