Renovations Underway at P.J. Whelihan’s in Newtown Shopping Center

Renovations are underway at the P.J. Whelihan’s in the Village at Newtown Shopping Center, creating a new spot for family and sports fans.

Renovations have begun at the new P.J. Whelihan’s in the Village at Newtown Shopping Center at the site of the former Iron Hill Brewery, writes Jeff Werner for Patch

The location is the New Jersey-based PJW Restaurant Group’s newest sports bar and restaurant.

“Right now it’s all dust and drills, but soon it’s crispy wings, cold beers, and a room full of fans who know where to be when the game’s on,” P.J.’s posted on Facebook. “Good times are getting an upgrade.”

P.J.’s is encouraging locals to follow their Newtown location social media pages for updates and details on job listings.

The new restaurant will have the same atmosphere and general design as its other locations around the Delaware Valley, from its signature color scheme to its dozens of TVs. The only noticeable change is that the location will not have its classic island bar but will utilize the building’s existing wall bar.

“We are very excited to be coming to Newtown,” said David Chojnowski, PJW Restaurant Group’s vice president of development. “If you look at our locations on a map, Bucks County is a big hole. We have been looking to come here for quite some time and Newtown was the bullseye.”
