Lease for Vacant Iron Hill Brewery in Huntingdon Valley Acquired by New Owner

Four months after Iron Hill Brewery shut down nearly 20 locations, its former Huntingdon Valley location has welcomed a new tenant.

Four months after Iron Hill Brewery shut down nearly 20 locations and entered bankruptcy, its former Huntingdon Valley location has welcomed a new tenant, writes Erin McCarthy for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

A federal judge has cleared the acquisition of Iron Hill’s trademark and intellectual property and authorized the transfer of five restaurant leases, one of which is in Huntingdon Valley. The shuttered brewpub will be assumed by a new tenant referred to as “IHB” in the legal filings, which is also the name used for the new tenants at the remaining four locations.

In addition, Judge Jerrold N. Poslusny Jr. of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New Jersey approved an agreement giving Rightlane LLC control of Iron Hill Brewery’s trademark and intellectual property.

The five locations were initially intended to be sold to Jeff Crivello, the former CEO of Famous Dave’s BBQ, who had already acquired five other Iron Hill locations. However Crivello confirmed earlier this week that those five restaurants that he owned, as well as the Iron Hill brand’s trademark and intellectual property, have since been acquired by Rightlane.
