Community Acupuncture Comes to Newtown’s Wellnest Bucks County

Newtown’s Wellnest Bucks County, a holistic wellness center, is now offering community acupuncture from practitioner Rachel Shusterman, L.Ac.

A holistic wellness center in Newtown, Wellnest Bucks County, has added community acupuncture to its lineup of services, writes Jeff Werner for Patch

During a session, multiple clients in a shared space receive an acupuncture treatment.

The group environment, along with the benefit of reducing costs, has also been shown to enhance the treatment’s effects.

Rachel Shusterman, L.Ac., a certified acupuncturist, is partnering with the center for this new service.

“At The Wellnest Bucks County, our goal is to make it possible for everyone to experience the healing benefits of natural, energy-based therapies,” said owner and founder Karen Arnone. “Community acupuncture advances that mission, and we are thrilled to connect our neighbors with Rachel’s knowledgeable and passionate service.”

Each space can fit up to six individuals and features zero-gravity lounge chairs, salt lamps and soothing music.

Sessions will last between 20 minutes and an hour, with prices ranging from $30 to $60. New clients will have an additional one-time $15 fee.

Appointments are available from 2 to 7 PM on Thursdays. The center eventually plans to offer sessions on more days.

“This collaboration just felt like fate. Karen is so forward thinking in her approach to wellness, and we cannot wait to introduce Bucks County to the accessibility and impact of our group healing practices,” said Shusterman.
