The month-long Bucks County Spa and Salon Self-Care Month has concluded, and the local businesses and community came out in force to raise money to support Kin Wellness and Support Center

With the slogan, ‘Care for yourself, help others’, hundreds of people throughout Bucks County booked self-care appointments with participating spas, med-spas and salons with a percentage of their treatment fee dedicated to helping local cancer patients and their caregivers through Kin.

“We couldn’t be happier with our retail sales during the month-long event to support Kin,” said Brett Wilson, owner of Salon39 in Doylestown

“We ended up having one of our most successful sales months in the history of our Salon.”

Forty businesses participated from towns across the County. Select locations hosted special events, raffles and featured collection jars creating a myriad of ways for people to give. This event raised $20,000.

“Launching a new initiative of this scope is very rewarding,” said Keith Fenimore, Executive Director of Kin.

“We are eager to harness our momentum, success and community engagement to benefit our local cancer patients through Kin throughout 2023 and beyond.”
