Salon LC, a new hair salon in Newtown, recently celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
The new salon opened at 24 North State Street next to Newtown Laundry Center. Dave Marcolla, the president of the Newtown Business Association, attended the ceremony to wish them the best.
Salon LC was originally located in Hulmeville, but the owners, Sara Micklas and Deanna Saly, decided they needed to expand.
The salon offers a variety of services and specializes in hair extensions and hair lightening. The new 1,500-square-foot space offers a relaxing atmosphere and nine hair stations.
Micklas and Saly also plan to add a Head Spa so customers can enjoy deep scalp treatments and massages.
The co-owners first met at Bucks County Technical School in Fairless Hills, where they became close friends while studying cosmetology.
After working at a few different salons in the Lower Bucks County area, the two opened a salon in 2020 in Feasterville. In 2023, they relocated to Hulmeville with a small team of stylists.
“We are so excited to be in such an amazing town. We’re super excited to grow and make this our forever home,” said Micklas.
