Brian Fitzpatrick, Bucks County’s congressman and one of the region’s most recognizable political figures, traded the halls of Capitol Hill for St. Patrick’s Cathedral on June 20 for his marriage to White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, writes Fallon Roth for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Taking place after the couple’s year-long engagement, the New York City celebration drew more than 300 guests, a 10-piece brass band, and a few notable toasts from Washington’s inner circle.

The wedding brought together a bipartisan guest list, with former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and former U.S. Senator Joe Manchin both raising a glass to the couple.

After the ceremony, guests moved the party onto the Horizon’s Edge yacht, drifting around the Statue of Liberty as the city that shaped the newlyweds’ careers glittered in the background.

That setting carried a special significance for the couple. New York was where Fitzpatrick began his career as an FBI agent and where Heinrich took her first assignment as a network news reporter, the duo both building their names in the city long before finding each other.

The two later met when they both began working in Washington. Heinrich now serves as senior White House correspondent for Fox News, a role she began in 2021 under President Joe Biden.

Family history ran through the celebration, too. The couple’s cake-cutting song was an Irish tune composed by Fitzpatrick’s great-uncle, a New York police officer sadly killed in the line of duty.

A Levittown native who has represented Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District since 2017, Fitzpatrick’s wedding comes amid his ongoing reelection campaign, part of a race that is sure to heat up as he runs against Democratic candidate Bob Harvie this fall.
