This year, locals and tourists alike will have the opportunity to celebrate Thanksgiving to the fullest in Bucks County with dinners, to-go meals, events and shopping, and even turkey trots, writes Sophia Dewald for Bucks Happening.

For those looking to enjoy a delicious meal without having to do the arduous cooking, many local restaurants offer amazing feasts for Thanksgiving day. Spring Mill Country Club in Ivyland, La Stalla in Newtown, and River House at Odette’s in New Hope are just some of them.

However, for those prefer to eat at home, Thanksgiving meals can be preordered at one of the local restaurants that are offering to-go menus. These include Vela Doylestown, Lou’s Farm Mart in Bensalem, and Shady Brook Farm in Yardley.

This whole week is filled with Thanksgiving-inspired events and shopping. Shady Brook Farm in Yardley has its popular light show up and running and Furlong’s Art in the Barn is organizing several holiday workshops, among many others.

And for those looking to stay active, can join one of the several local turkey trots and races, including the 7th Annual Doylestown Jingle Bell Turkey Trot, Thanksgiving Day 5 Miler & 5K in Langhorne, and Dashin’ Thru the Lights in Yardley.
