Cookbook author Pamela Anderson and her husband, David, have crafted a personal bucolic retreat by constructing an architectural gem on their 11-acre property in Riegelsville called the Copper House, writes Jason Nark for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The couple, who formerly lived in New Hope, visited the site in 2003 with their architect to plan a home that would harmonize with the landscape.
Today, the centerpiece of their home is a breathtaking living room with floor-to-ceiling windows offering 180-degree views, creating a sense of forest bathing while relaxing on the couch.
“We wanted a place to get away,” said Anderson.
Outside, the couple has woven gravel trails into grottos, fire pits and other gathering places for the many visitors who often stop by for sound baths, yoga and meditations.
“Some people just want to come here to have a meeting in a lovely place,” said Anderson.
The Andersons started hosting corporate events and retreats at their residence during the pandemic, stopped for a while, then continued once again. Anderson cooks for the retreats, using local fruits and vegetables and making wood-fired pizza in an outdoor oven.
Those interested can purchase retreat packages beginning at $1,500.
