Home prices in the Philadelphia region have declined slightly from the season peak, but Bucks County remains strong, accounting for three of the top ten home sales in the area, according to a staff report from the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The highest sale price in Greater Philadelphia last week was $2.6 million for a 16-year-old Chestnut Hill home, compared with $3.2 million the week before.
The highest priced Bucks County home in the same period was 110 N. Lincoln Avenue in Newtown, which sold for $1.73 million, making it the fifth highest priced sale in the region. Marvin B. Cohen and Mary Riggs Cohen sold the home to Edward Deitzel and Heidi Van Vooren.
Another Newtown home was in sixth place. Susan E. Zaks sold the property at 980 Mill Creek Road for $1.7 million to Michael Donnell and Bridget Hilbig.
The list is rounded out by 527 Waterview Place in New Hope in seventh place, which sold for $1.69 million. The seller was Alfred J. Gaburo and the buyers were David Forrest Mowrey and Beth Ann Kennedy.
