Peddler’s Village in Lahaska is vying for the title of best shopping center in America as a nominee in USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
The winner will be decided by public vote.
“USA TODAY 10BEST teamed with a panel of experts to nominate their top picks for the most outstanding shopping centers throughout the U.S., factoring in the variety of stores, dining and entertainment options, and overall experience for guests,” wrote the publication. “Now, it’s up to our readers to determine which among them will be honored as the very best.”
Voting takes place on USA TODAY 10Best through June 2.
USA TODAY 10Best experts describe the Bucks County tourist destination as a storybook village “home to one-of-a-kind shopping, dining, and lodging. The winding brick pathways lead visitors to their favorite annual festivals and seasonal events, making it a charming year-round destination.”
Peddler’s Village was created by Earl and Sheila Jamison in 1962 and has become one of the premier attractions in Pennsylvania, with over 60 distinctive retail shops, five restaurants, the Golden Plough Inn, and an indoor family entertainment center, Giggleberry Fair.
