Warminster veteran Barry Platt, who lives with Alzheimer’s, is enjoying the benefits of Seniors Helping Seniors.

Warminster veteran Barry Platt, who lives with Alzheimer’s, is enjoying the benefits of Seniors Helping Seniors, writes Matteo Iadonisi for 6 ABC.  

Several years after his diagnosis, Barry’s wife Barbara contacted the organization, which provides professional in-home services and companions.  

“After a few years I decided to need to have some help,” she says.  

The nearly 90-year-old Warminster resident now has a friend, Dan, to go to the diner, movies, and other enjoyable activities.  

“It gives him the opportunity to go out and do things, with another person besides me,” she said.
