A Bucks County man is being remembered for a lifetime of service, as well as the impact he had on so many of his friends and family. Staff writers at the Bucks County Courier Times wrote about the local man.

James E. “Mitch” Mitchell, a native of Langhorne, died on Oct. 7 at the age of 89. Originally from Allentown, Mitchell was a Mill Wright with US Steel Fairless Works for 23 years, as well as a US Air Force Korean war veteran.

During his spare time, Mitchell helped at the American Legion Post 834 and the Falls Township Seniors Center, where he met his wife.

“He was one of the last old fashioned gentleman,” his obituary read.

With a large family left to carry on his legacy, Mitchell was a servant of his community, at home and abroad. He will be missed and his helping hand in the Bucks County area will never go unnoticed.
