The PIAA wrestling tournament kicks off this Thursday, extending through Saturday at Hershey’s Giant Center, marking a historic moment as girls wrestling debuts at Pennsylvania’s premier wrestling event, writes Drew Markol for the Bucks County Courier Times.

Bucks County shines with three returning state champions heading to Hershey: Quakertown’s Collin Gaj, Gauge Botero, and Adam Waters.  

With their eyes set on repeating their success, the region holds its breath to see if these athletes, alongside other local standouts, can secure gold. 

This tournament could break records, with Bucks County wrestlers poised to exceed the previous maximum of five state titles won by District One in a single season, a feat last achieved in 2006.
