From Great Depression to Great Grandchildren: Katherine Binns of Warminster Celebrates Joyous 102nd Birthday

Warminster resident Katherine Binns is celebrating turning 102 years old, writes Nick Iadonisi for 6 ABC.

“She’s just a happy soul,” says Katherine’s daughter Joyce.  

Growing up as an only child during the Great Depression, Binns always aspired to have a big family. Now, the Warminster woman is a family matriarch to children, ten grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.  

“Everybody calls her mom mom, and everybody would do anything for mom mom,” said her son, Wayne Binns. 

“I enjoy being a mom, and I enjoy being a grandmom,” says Katherine.
