Bucks County is usually not the first place that pops in mind when it comes to pizza, but that might be changing thanks to David Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports and One Bite Pizza, write Michele Haddon and Damon C. Williams for Bucks County Courier Times.

Portnoy, also known as “El Presidente,” has over 1.1 million followers on his YouTube One Bite Pizza Review channel. Last month, he made his way to four local pizza shops to offer his viral “One Bite” reviews.

All four pizzerias Portnoy visited – Peppino’s in Chalfont, HG Bucks Bagels in Warminster, Lucatelli’s in Doylestown, and Russo’s in New Hope – received positive ratings from the reviewer, ranging from 7.5 to 7.8.

His viral reviews resulted in a wave of excitement sweeping across the local food scene, which is usually overshadowed by its big-city counterparts such as Philadelphia and New York.

This led to a surge of customers making their way to the Bucks County pizza shops to have a taste of some of its delicious pizzas.
