Original Russo’s Pizza Closes Permanently in New Hope After Years of Acclaim

The original Russo’s Pizza, rated as one of Bucks County’s best pizza places, closed its doors permanently in New Hope as its owners plan to relocate to Philadelphia.

The original Russo’s Pizza, rated as one of Bucks County’s best pizza places, closed its doors permanently in New Hope, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

The owners of the North Main Street pizzeria, best known for its gigantic pies, posted on Google that they have relocated to Center City Philadelphia, where they will open a new pizza place next month.

“Thank you to all our customers who became friends the past few years,” they wrote. “We look forward to seeing you at our new location.”

The pizzeria’s profile jumped in November 2023 when Barstool’s Dave Portnoy visited and rated its pizza 7.5 in his popular “One Bite” review.

The closure caught the pizza place’s fans by surprise, with many taking to social media to express their sadness over the announcement.

“Those guys were phenomenal,” wrote one customer. “Energetic, charismatic, and kind. So sad.”

“Really?! Why? Their pizza was delicious!!” wrote another. “And awesome customer service.”

“That was the best pizza in town,” added another comment.
