With a connection to one of the most important events in American history in a beautiful area of Bucks County, locals, and visitors can experience a unique connection to our first president.

A historic Bucks County park will soon begin its annual reenactments of one of the country’s most important and remembered moments.

Washington Crossing Historic Park, located in the town of the same name, is set to begin their popular reenactments of then-general George Washington’s harrowing crossing of the Delaware River on Christmas night of 1776. Considered an integral moment in American history, Bucks County gets to boast of the event happening right on its shore.

The first crossing reenactment will be held on Dec. 10 from 11 AM to 3 PM; the actual crossing will commence at 1 PM.

“In addition, colonial-era activities and demos in the Historic Village offer a full day of family fun,” organizers said online.
