Lambertville Author Signs Copies of Latest Novel for Popular New Hope Bookshop
A novelist from Lambertville recently made his way over to New Hope to sign several copies of his latest work at a local bookshop.
Author James McBride visited Farley’s Bookshop and signed a few copies of his new book, “The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store.”
“We’re lucky to be able to call him a long-time customer and friend,” the bookstore said online. “A congrats is also due: “The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store” is this week’s NYTimes Book Review cover story. Grab them while they last.”
His latest novel, which was published on Aug. 8., is set in nearby Pottstown and tells the story of a community of Jewish immigrants and African Americans from long ago working together to protect a young boy.
Having been out for just a few days, the new book is already labeled as a bestseller by Barnes and Noble. He began a nationwide speaking tour for the book on the day of its publication.
