The woodworker's studio is based in the same town as the bookstore.

One of the most popular bookshops in Bucks County is now carrying a book on a famous woodworker who practiced his craft in the area.

Farley’s Bookshop, located at 44 South Main Street in New Hope, recently opened their doors back up after several months of renovations to the store’s interior. As they had before, they are carrying several books by and about local figures.

One of their latest additions to this collection is “Process” by the Nakashima Woodworkers, based at 1847 Aquetong Road in New Hope. The woodworking business was started by George Nakashima, a famous woodworker who worked out of the Bucks County area for several years.

“Beautifully bound in Italy with a stitched revealed binding and printed on Munken paper, it is as beautiful to read as it is to hold,” the bookstore said online.

“The Nakashima family have been Farley’s customers since we opened our doors in 1967 and they, as well as the craftspeople working there, continue to be a presence in our store. We feel honored to be able to support them in this humble, little way.”

The bookstore also carries “The Soul of a Tree: A Woodworker’s Reflection”, a popular work written by Nakashima himself.
