The event is the perfect occasion to learn about the constellations.

An astronomical association in Bucks County will be showing local residents show to properly star-gaze at an upcoming outdoor event.

The astronomers of the Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association will be hosting another open-to-the-public “Star Watch” event at Tohickon Boat Launch in Quakertown on June 17. This is one of several similar events the group has hosted this year.

“Bring binoculars or your own telescopes if you have them, as well as lawn chairs or blankets,” the organization said online. “We ask that you leave your pets at home for the safety and comfort of other participants and to prevent potential damage to delicate equipment.”

Rain dates and other postponements will be announced through the organizer’s website.

For all those who want to enjoy the great outdoors of Bucks County even more than they usually do, this event is the perfect opportunity to see a side of the area most don’t bother to look up at.
