An astronomical association in Bucks County will be showing local resident show to properly star-gaze at an upcoming outdoor event.

The astronomers of the Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association will be hosting an open-to-the-public “Star Watch” at Tohickon Boat Launch in Quakertown on May 20. Pre-Star Watch activities begin at 8:15 PM, with stargazing beginning around 9 PM.

“BMAA club members will have telescopes available to look through and will be on hand to answer questions,” organizers said online. “Bring binoculars or your own telescopes if you have them, as well as lawn chairs or blankets.”

Rain dates and other postponements will be announced through the organizer’s website. For all those who want to enjoy the great outdoors of Bucks County even more than they usually do, this event is the perfect opportunity to see a side of the area most don’t bother to look up at.
