Learn More About Yardley’s History at This Upcoming Walking Tour of the Area

A popular town in Bucks County will see another walking tour being held this week, providing attendees with more information on the area.

The Yardley Historical Association, located at the Old Library at Lake Afton, will be hosting a Guided Walking Tour of Downtown Yardley on May 21 at 2 PM.

Historian Charlie Thomforde will take attendees along East and West Afton Avenues, Canal Street, and South Main Street as he shares the history of the area intermingled with fascinating stories.

A donation of $10 per person can be made for the event. Reservations are required and can be made by emailing info@yardleyhistory.org or calling 215-208-1154.

The historical association offers tours and lectures throughout the year, sharing the stories and historic of the area and its important role in the founding of America. It recently held another walking tour in late April, which saw historian Susan Taylor take attendees to several historical buildings and streets.
