The new addition will give local senior citizens more places to reside.

An assisted living facility in Bucks County recently celebrated the opening of a new addition at their well-respected retirement center.

Pickering Manor, located at 226 North Lincoln Avenue in Newtown, recently opened a new Memory Care center for residents of their center who are dealing with issues with memory into their later years. The 21-bed center is on the premises of their main facility.

“One month ago we welcomed our very first Memory Care resident, Elizabeth K., and this month we were honored to have her cut the ribbon at our grand opening celebration!” the retirement center said online.

The Newtown center has been one of the best assisted living locations in Bucks County for years. With this latest addition, they will be able to uphold their reputation and help more seniors throughout the area.

“Before a resident moves into our community, customized assessments are completed so individual, focused care plans can be created,” the center said. “Our team consists of trained professionals with compassion and care who honor the life and dignity of each resident.”
