The Bucks County company restored the sign for Citizens Bank Park.

A Bucks County company is being credited for workin on the restoration of an important statue connected to the Philadelphia Phillies. Dan Social wrote about the restoration in The Reporter.

Cima, a Chalfont-based sign company, worked on the restoration of the famous Liberty Bell statue that once resided in Veteran’s Stadium and now sits outside of Citizens Bank Park. The company brought the statue to their warehouse in Montgomery County.

“I said, ‘Remember that original bell, that hung in Veterans Stadium?’ He said ‘Yeah!’ I said, “We got it at our shop, we’re gonna redo it for the Phillies,’ and he paused, and all of a sudden he said to me ‘Well, I painted that bell.’ And I was floored,” said Paul Hlywiak, a craftsman for Cima.

The statue greets all who enter the new park to watch the Phillies. Now, it has been restored to its former glory, and is expected to last for generations of fans to see and take pictures with.

“The response to this bell has been remarkable. It’s becoming a truly iconic symbol in that sports arena. People will point to that as something very, very special to that team — and to the city,” said Keith Denny, the co-founder of Cima.
