“Scarecrows in the Village” To Return To Peddler’s Village. Find Out How You Can Participate in the Fun

The family-fun event returns to the Lahaska village for the Halloween season.

The popular “Scarecrows in the Village” event will be returning to Peddler’s Village in September, kicking off the local Halloween season.

From Sept. 5 to Halloween Day, the Lahaska village will see an army of scarecrows standing around the area. Each year, entrees become more and more creative with their spooky creations. From Disney characters to classic Halloween staples, Bucks County residents are always looking forward to the fall festivities.

The event has become a mainstay of the fall season in Bucks County, Already known for its wide array of shops and restraints, Peddler’s Village will be celebrating 43 years of scarecrows this year.

Local judges will determine which scarecrows are the best. The first place winner will receive a $400 prize, with the second through fifth-place winners receiving lesser cash prizes.

Those making their own scarecrows can choose from one of several themes, including Traditional ’60s style, Funny Bones, Once Upon a Time, and a kids-only selection of artistic expression.

Those who wish to enter their scarecrows can do so until Sept. 1. For more information, check out the village’s official website.
