Popular Newtown Eatery To Expand Location With Outdoor Dining
A popular Italian restaurant in Newtown will be expanding their longtime location to include outdoor seating. Jeff Werner wrote about the development in the Newtown, PA Patch.
Piccolo Trattoria, located in the Newtown Shopping Center, will be expanding their restaurant by taking over the vacant space of a former pet store they care connected to. A large, covered outdoor dining are will also be added on, allowing patrons to dine outside as the weather becomes more cool in coming months.
Owner Fahmi Elabed discussed the plans with Newtown supervisors. The expansion would be a way for more customers to enjoy their food as more and more establishments return to pre-pandemic business practices.
“This is a great thing for Newtown because Fahmi and Piccolo have been around for a long time,” said Newtown Supervisor Phil Calabro. “He’s also been a contributor to community causes.”
The indoor dining area, as well as the restaurant’s kitchen, will also be expanded as they move into the currently vacant spot next door.
