Members of the first class to graduate from Harcum College’s Photography program are enjoying the benefits of a new partnership with SmugMug to showcase their work.

As a result of this corporate partnership, each student was gifted a professional account subscription resulting in a new platform for their photos, as well as a fully functional website from which they can sell their work.

The website offers commerce tools that professional photographers need to run a successful business and to help promote themselves to potential employers. For an example, check out Harcum graduate Amber O’Connell’s site.

SmugMug also provided support for both students and faculty through live webinars and “office hours” when it demonstrated how to utilize SmugMug’s tools and features.

“I am extremely proud of the work of our first graduating class,” said Drew Simcox, director of Harcum’s Photography program, “and I consider SmugMug a true ‘Partner in Education.’ They have offered such value-add to our students. With these professional websites, they are able to and have been selling their work at very attractive prices even before they graduate.”
