Bucks County Business Updates: New Openings, Closures, and Community Events This Spring

The Juice Pod team celebrates opening day at their new Doylestown location, the brand's first in Bucks County.

Bucks County’s business landscape is shifting this spring and summer with fresh openings, a notable closure, a community fundraiser, and a leadership change all making headlines, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.

One arrival is The Juice Pod, which planted its first Bucks County roots at Barn Plaza in Doylestown.

Tucked between First Watch and Chipotle, the fast-casual concept brings cold-pressed juices, smoothies, wellness shots, toasts, and acai and fruit bowls to a stretch of the plaza already popular with health-conscious diners.

Not every story this season is about growth, though. Oven Brothers in Warminster quietly closed its doors after nine years in business.

On the livelier side of the ledger, Bomba Tacos + Tequila in Newtown is turning its June 5 evening into a cause.

The restaurant’s “Pretty In Pink” fundraiser will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation, featuring an 80s-inspired dance party as part of its retro-themed nightlife series for equal parts community spirit and dance floor nostalgia.

Meanwhile, golfers in Warrington got an early look at Fairways Golf Club’s new indoor simulator suite on May 15, when local players and league members came out for a test run of the facility.

Finally, in a change that will shape the region’s business community going forward, Judy Doherty stepped down as Executive Director of the Greater BucksMont Chamber of Commerce after 11 years at the helm.

Doherty leaves behind a significant legacy in economic leadership throughout Bucks County and beyond.
