The Perkasie taproom will now be a part of the popular beer tour.

A Bucks County brewery has just announced the opening their latest taproom this weekend, with plenty of custom brews on tap.

Van Lieus Brewing Company is celebrating its grand opening on Oct. 29 at its new taproom, located at 211 West Walnut Street in Perkasie. The festivities will kick-off with a ribbon-cutting at 3:00 PM with local officials and the community.

“Perkasie’s sense of community makes it a really special place to live and work. Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive, and as a family-owned business, that has meant a lot to us,” said Galen Barr, owner and founder, who opened VLBC in partnership with his father, James.

“Our whole goal is to create a comfortable spot to enjoy great beer and good company, and we are excited to finally get to share our dream with our neighbors.”

The brewery takes pride in its approachable, balanced beer, offering a modern take on the owners’ favorite traditional styles. The VLBC tap list will be heavy on New England IPAs and British staples, including bitters and ESBs.

Guests at the grand opening will enjoy the following featured styles:

  • Retirement – the brewery’s flagship hazy IPA
  • Doug – English pub ale
  • Walnut Street – German Kölsch-style ale
  • California One – West Coast IPA
  • Midnight Lunch – Irish Stout

Wine and non-alcoholic beverages also will be available.

The taproom will be open for business from Thursday and Friday, 5 – 10 PM, Saturday from 12 – 10 PM, and Sunday from 12 – 5 PM. In addition to ample on-site spaces, additional parking is available in the municipal lots in nearby Lenape Park at the Covered Bridge ballpark on Walnut Street.
