Bomba Taco + Bar opened this weekend in the Village at Newtown.

Bomba Taco + Bar, which opened this weekend in the Village at Newtown, seeks to blow up everything customers ever thought about Mexico’s handiest dish. Hadas Kuznits bit the bullet and covered the story for KYW Newsradio.

The restaurant operates under the corporate umbrella of the Paladar Restaurant Group, whose other local eatery is the Paladar Latin Kitchen and Rum Bar (which has a King of Prussia site).

Paladar Restaurant Group CEO, Andy Himmel, described the international variations that Bomba Taco + Bar offers.

“Everything we put in the tacos is all over the place. We have the Vietnamese meatball taco, the Korean beef taco; we have a Nashville hot chicken taco. So, we’ve kind of opened it up completely to whatever direction we feel we want to go.”

Not only is the menu varied, so, too, is the ordering process.

“We have a taco 10 pack,” Himmel explained. “So if six people are sitting down, each person can call off what tacos they want.”
